Be Inspired – Jerome’s Story
One of our teen members, Jerome, faced academic and personal challenges during his senior year, leading to struggles in school and a strained relationship with his mother. Jerome found solace in music and utilized the Club’s resources, including the art & music studio. As his academic performance declined, our staff arranged a meeting to come up with ways to support him, resulting in collaborations with Sylvan Learning Center, transportation assistance, and provisions for basic needs. Once we discovered he had a full music scholarship to Parkside, more focused efforts were made to improve his grades, ultimately enabling him to graduate.
Jerome is now thriving at Parkside, expressing gratitude for the support received. We couldn’t be more proud to support Jerome and we couldn’t be more grateful to be able to do so.
