Part-Time Weekend Custodial Worker

Reports To:

Facilities & Maintenance Manager

Job Hours:

Part-time, early morning to afternoon weekend hours (Saturday & Sunday, 5am – 1pm).

Primary Function:

Under limited supervision, performs a variety of tasks in the maintenance and cleaning of Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha properties; and performs related duties as assigned.

Clean restrooms, hallways, Games Room, Youth Center, Tween Center, gymnasium, soccer field, as well as grounds and property maintenance.

Some of the required tasks include wiping down surfaces, emptying wastebaskets and outdoor trash cans, cleaning floors, picking up trash, and the use of power lawn equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers) to assist in the maintenance of lawns, bushes, sidewalks, etc.

Daily Responsibilities: 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • The ability to perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner. Be able to work with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather, including hot, cold, rain and snow. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment.

The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha professionally trained staff and volunteers supervise wholesome, constructive activities that guide youth toward successful health, social, educational, and character-building skills. Programming also promotes positive emotional behavior and attitudes for youth between the ages of 6 and 18. We support all youth in Kenosha County with a primary focus on economically, socially, educationally, and physically disadvantaged youth.
