The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha is proud to announce the hiring of Jake McGhee as Chief Executive Officer. McGhee’s official start date is April, 4, 2016.
“It was very important to our board and stakeholders that at this critical time for Kenosha youth we found a candidate that was connected to our community and prepared to lead our organization into the future. The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha is the largest provider of programming to local youth, and we recognized the need for leadership that can continue to grow our ability to serve Kenosha. Based on Jake’s proven track record with the Kenosha Kingfish we knew he was our best candidate for the job,” said Matthew Carlson, Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Board President.
In September 2013, McGhee moved his career to the Kenosha community when he was appointed the General Manager of the Kenosha Kingfish. Prior to joining the Kingfish, McGhee was the operations and corporate account manager for the Madison Mallards for three years. His positions with both organizations that are owned by Big Top Baseball have afforded him opportunities to grow community-centric organizations. His accomplishments in the Kenosha area include leading the successful startup of the Kenosha Kingfish franchise, capped by selling out 30 out of 33 games in 2015 and winning the Northwoods League Summer Collegiate Championship.
“I’m tremendously thankful for the opportunity provided to me by Big Top Baseball and the Kenosha Kingfish. I’ve enjoyed making a positive impact on families and kids during my time with the Kingfish and look forward to making an impact on the community to a whole new level. I believe that I bring the strategic planning experience and forward thinking that the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha needs to grow into the future for the City of Kenosha. I look forward to further serving Kenosha’s youth starting in April,” said McGhee.
