Kenosha, WI – September 15, 2020 – With a heavy heart, current BGCK CEO, Jake McGhee, bids a fond farewell to the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha and has decided to take the next step in his career and join Jockey International, Inc. (Kenosha, Wis.) to run their corporate philanthropic efforts as Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer. McGhee will start at Jockey no later than December 1, 2020.
The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha will immediately begin a nationwide search for its new CEO. McGhee will remain in his current capacity to help with the transition and CEO selection process.
McGhee has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha since April of 2016 and previously worked as the General Manager of the Kenosha Kingfish Baseball Club. Under McGhee’s leadership, the BGCK has grown its budget from $2.1M to more than $3M, while seeing its school year average daily attendance grow from 67 youth attending to over 240. McGhee was recently awarded the 2020 CEO of the Year Award by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wisconsin. In 2019, the BGCK was also recognized by the Kenosha Area Business Alliance as a Forward Award winner, honoring the Club for its financial growth and increases in youth served.
McGhee is taking on a new role at Jockey in which he will oversee all philanthropic efforts for the company, including its Jockey Being Family Foundation and community engagement initiatives.
“I’m incredibly excited about the next chapter in my career with Jockey and am tremendously grateful for all the Boys & Girls Club has done for me over the past several years,” said McGhee. “I’m so thankful for all of the community partners, board members and the incredible staff who have helped the Club do some very special things for families and kids in Kenosha. I’m sad to say goodbye to an organization that I love, but at the same time, I like making a difference in my work and am thrilled to continue to make an impact on our community in my new role at Jockey.”
