The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Dr. Aiello & Dr. Perri Youth Golf Academy Summer Golf Class was a huge success this summer, largely in part to the time, effort and dedication of this month’s volunteer spotlight: Samuel Peter Martin. Sam has been very involved with youth golf in the community for several years. He has two children, Matthew (age 8) and Madeline (age 6) both of whom participated in the summer golf academy program. Sam has helped spearhead the Club’s partnership with U.S. Kids Golf by introducing us to their youth golf program and helping our organization attain certification as U.S. Kids Golf instructors.
Sam graciously donated his time every Wednesday morning for the past 10 weeks to help facilitate and teach nearly 50 junior golf members this summer. This is the largest summer golf class that the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha has ever had. Sam was monumental in helping track down other junior golfers to sign up for our program, largely in part due to his passion and dedication to the game of golf.
Sam was a fantastic asset to have in the Aiello & Perri Golf Academy Summer Golf Class, and is someone who truly encompasses what it means to be great volunteer. His commitment to helping the program succeed was unparalleled, and his outgoing personality made each participant’s experience that much better. It is volunteers like Sam who make such a huge impact on the success of a particular program, and we want to thank Sam for all of his time and efforts over the summer.
