Bambino Girls Champions
The Lancers Blue beat Lancers Yellow 14-6 to win the Bambino Girls Championship at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Family Day on February 23.
This victory capped an undefeated season for the Lancers Blue.
Bambino Boys Champions
The Suns doubled up the Thunder 20-10 to win the Bambino Boys Championship at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Family Day on February 23.
The Suns also won the first annual sportsmanship for the Bambino Boys Division.
Peewee Girls Champions
The Crew defeated Dream 12-2 in a defensive battle, to win the Peewee Girls Championship at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Family Day on February 23. The Crew finished the season with a 9-2 record,.
Peewee Boys Champions
The Wizards pulled away late to beat the Nuggets 30-21 to win the Peewee Boys Championship at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Family Day on February 23. The Wizards finished the season 10-1. Their only loss, was a 1 point defeat at the hands of the Nuggets .
Junior Boys Champions
The Nuggets rolled over the Jazz 41-15 to win the Junior Boys Championship at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Family Day on February 23. The Nuggets finished 11-0 and only gave up an average of 17 point per game all season. they were also awarded the sportsmanship award.
Senior Boys Champions
The Spartans used a huge second have to pull away from the Wildcats for a 47-38 victory in the Senior Boys Championship at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Family Day on February 23. The Spartans finished 8-0 in the 5 team division and also won the sportsmanship award.
Registration to join the Boys & Girls Club Youth basketball program is in September each year. We offer several divisions- Bambino for 1st and 2nd grade, Peewee for 3rd and 4th graders, and Junior for 5th and 6th graders, Senior for 7th and 8th graders. The grade the player is in at the time of registration is what division they will be placed in. There are seperate divisions for boys and girls.
The Basketball season begins in early November with teams practicing once per week. Games begin the first week of December with all teams playing Saturday morning/afternoon. All games will be held at our new facility at 1330 52nd Street. Games run through the end of February.
