This year’s outing will be on Friday, September 23rd at Bristol Oaks Country Club. The outing, now the 4th annual, has raised around $40,000 in donations to Dave’s favorite charity. Outing proceeds will once again benefit, the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha.

“Dave was such a special friend to so many. His kind and gentle way with all who he came in contact with was wonderful. His generosity to those in need was important to both him and Michelle. All who have participated in the previous outings pay tribute to his friendship and generosity to those in need. We are excited to honor Dave’s legacy again this year.”

“We still mourn the loss of our great friend Dave Barnes. We started this outing four years ago as a way to recognize all that Dave did for the Boys & Girls Club and for the greater Kenosha community. People have really committed to keep Dave’s memory alive through this outing,” Perry said. “I believe he would be proud of us. I know he is looking down and smiling at the impact and number of children he continues to help the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha serve.”

The outing will be a scramble format. Individual golf fee is $100, or $400 for a foursome. Persons interested in attending just the banquet may do so for $35. There will also be a large raffle and on-course contests throughout the day. “This is always a great event,” Perry stated. “All of Dave’s friends gather and share memories and stories of the fun and rewarding times we had with our friend. I urge all Kenoshans to participate.”

Barnes was Past President of the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha and was a key member of the board which drove the building of the new community center on 52nd Street.
